Dear club members, you are all invited to the first ever Murrayfield lockdown Quiz! In essence, we’ve attempted to create a socially distanced “pub quiz” with questions on Murrayfield TTC, its members and achievements, table tennis in general as well as a smattering of general knowledge questions spread throughout. Don’t be in any doubt, of course under 18’s are encouraged to join, as long as they stick to the orange squash!

The meeting will take place on Zoom from 7:00pm – 9:00pm on Sunday 5^th July.

Many of you will be familiar with how Zoom works due to lockdown but if you’re not here is quick explanation. Zoom software is free and allows a group of multiple people to video chat simultaneously, meaning we can all chat and engage with each other like we would be able to do if we were in a room normally. All you’ll need to do to partake in the evenings event is to download Zoom onto any of your devices: laptop, phone, ipad etc… Then at the time the meeting is scheduled to start, click on the link that you will have been sent (we’ll send out link and meeting password closer to the time). Then you’ll be on a group video chat with all the other club members who are partaking. If members from same household are taking part, you can share the same device to operate zoom and still do the quiz separately.

The plan for the evening is a quick catch-up chat for first bit, then doing the quiz (complete with pictures, memes and all sorts of entertaining and devious tricks) which should take just over an hour. The questions for the quiz have been provided by John Hannah and Charlie Ellis, in case anyone wants to know who to bribe!
