REGULATIONS

All players must follow the Covid regulations – A short video detailing can be found here: COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Format:
Players will be split into bands of 5 players based on rating. All players will play each other over the period of 5 weeks. Matches will be best of 7 and played at Pop in And Play at the Gyle Shopping Centre. Format may be adjusted at organisers discretion.

Open to all players registered with Table Tennis Scotland.

Results will count for Ratings Central Ratings.

Players are encouraged to film their own matches and create highlights with https://betterplay.ai (free website that creates highlights from a match). Most entertaining match of the tournament will be awarded a prize.

Limited to 30 players.

Deadline for entries 23rd May – matches to start week beginning 24th May.

Entry fee £12 – Payment by bank transfer.

Details:
Each group of players will be invited to join a Whatsapp group chat to assist in organising their group. The first named player is responsible for arranging a time with their opponent in the given week, booking online and providing the match balls. Players have 30 minutes to warm up and 1 hour to play their best of 7 match. Children require a parent or guardian to supervise, otherwise no spectators are allowed in the venue. The first named player is responsible for emailing the score by “Result FORM” on https://murrayfieldtt.com/banded-may-june/ or send it to banded@murrayfieldtt.com and results will be published on a Murrayfield Open Banded website. Results from each group will be inputted to Ratings Central on a weekly basis.
